  12. I'm using AmiTCP together with THOR 2.22. Is it considered normal, that 150
  13. articles take 7-9 minutes to get loaded. This happens regularly here in
  14. Luxembourg. I'm using 14.400 dialup.

  16. 1. Is this a problem of my setup (AmiTCP or THOR) ?

  18. 2. Is it due to the system itself (NNTP) ?

  20. 3. Is it due to some faultly behaviour on the newsserver's side ?

  22. On top of that, it happens very often that the last articles (2 or 3) are
  23. not transmitted or only after a few minutes. To stay with the example
  24. above, 148 mails were read in 7 minutes, while the connection was
  25. interrupted by me after 10 minutes, without beeing able to get the last
  26. 2 articles.
